Our Vision for In-Space Refueling
For most satellites, propellant is the primary life-limiting factor.
Through in-orbit refueling, Dawn Aerospace is turning orbital propellant from a life-limiting constraint into an on-demand commodity, fundamentally redefining the economic and strategic landscape of spaceflight.

With Loop, satellite operators no longer have to choose between executing a critical maneuver or cutting their mission short.

A Revolution in Space Mobility
IMPACT
Maneuver without Regret
The Loop Refueling Network brings our vision for reusable in-space propulsion to reality. Our orbital vehicles ferry propellant exactly where it's needed from strategically located depots, allowing you to:
-
Be prepared for any eventuality with maximum propellant availability
-
Fly lower for higher bandwidth and superior image resolution.
-
Eliminate propellant as the limit to your mission lifespan.
-
Reduce the size of the propulsion system you launch with.
Dawn's Loop network keep your assets topped up, so you can stay focused on the mission.

LOOP Network Architecture
LOOP enables routine orbital refueling through two elements:
-
Space Utility Vehicle (SUV) - A reusable spacecraft to ferry propellant to customers equipped with Dawn propulsion systems.
-
Orbital Propellant Depot (OPD) - A simple, expendable satellite to deliver bulk propellant to space efficiently.
These spacecraft are built on Dawn’s refueling-ready foundation — nitrous oxide propulsion, and SatDrive propulsion systems already deployed on orbit, and now standard with docking capability.

SatDrive - Your Satellite's Ticket to the Loop Network
Every Dawn SatDrive propulsion system comes equipped with a flight-proven, TRL 9, docking (DFT) port– enabling seamless connection to Dawn’s Service Utility Vehicle (SUV) for on-orbit refueling.
There are no additional fees, access charges, or future retrofit requirements. Refueling compatibility is built in from day one.
SatDrive delivers immediate propulsion capability for today’s missions, while quietly embedding the infrastructure for extended mission life and in-space mobility as the LOOP network comes online.
One small decision now,
Massive optionality for life.
