The Runway-to-Space Spaceplane Challenge will offer U.S.-based* research institutions the opportunity to design, test, and fly payloads aboard Aurora — a fully reusable rocket-powered spaceplane operating from the Oklahoma Air and Space Port.
Selected teams will be able to fly payloads of

up to 15 kg (33 lbs)
-
to altitudes up to 100 km (328,000 ft),
-
with up to 127 seconds of microgravity.
Teams will have approximately 12 months to prepare their payload or mission concept.
*Eligibility
-
The lead applicant must be a university or research institution based in the State of Oklahoma.

U.S. federal laboratories may participate only as collaborators, not as lead applicants, and must partner with an Oklahoma-based lead institution.
