The Runway-to-Space Spaceplane Challenge will offer U.S.-based research institutions the opportunity to design, test, and fly payloads aboard Aurora — a fully reusable rocket-powered spaceplane operating from the Oklahoma Air and Space Port.

Selected teams will be able to fly payloads of

  • up to 15 kg (33 lbs)

  • to altitudes up to 100 km (328,000 ft),

  • with up to 127 seconds of microgravity.

 

Teams will have approximately 12 months to prepare their payload or mission concept.
